Thoughts On Patch
So patch 2.3 is out and just about everyone has downloaded it. Tell me what are your Thoughts? I have not played to much since the patch I have been spending most of my time re-doing my UI, it has not changed much but I like the new look. I switched from Bongos to Bartender so that I could have the Ace 2 compatability, I also got rid of KTM and replaced it with Omen. Another addon I added was simple minimap so that I could change my mini map to a square look and I love it but my minimap buttons are still on the round axis so that is a bit annoying. This morning I will actually be playing either with Andolynn or Drow I think Meat will have a little rest mainly cause I don't feel like messing with his UI for several hours. Well have fun this weekend and play hard.

WoW Introductions!!!
This is Andolynn in Camp Mojache, Feralas with Fang looking particularly mean. I know I am not very creative in the Pet name Department, my first pets name is puppy. Now leading to my next toon and my newest toon. I recenently decided to level another Tauren Warrior. This time I am going to do it Fury specced since I have never really dabbled in the Fury tree. I decided that i wanted a catchy name and something that would get the Fury part across. I Googled Synonyms for the word Fury and saw a whole list, none that were able to stand alone as a characters name. But one and only one stood out to me and shortly there after Meatstew was born.
This is Meatstew looking very mean in his rough copper armor that Drow made for him. I hope you enjoyed this little Introduction to my Toons. Oh and here is a screenshot of Drow's UI which will probably change after 2.3 Drops.

Drow Has Moved
So let me Begin by saying that I will never doubt Blizzards ability to do thier jobs. As you may have read last week I attempted to transfer my 70 warrior to Velen to play with some other bloggers and friends. Well I was getting rather upset with the whole process cause it wasn't happening. Blizzards website on the transfer screen said that the average wait time is 1 hour, so last thursday when I tried to transfer and it didn't happen by this morning I was very upset. Well I called Blizzards help line this morning and asked them what was wrong since my transfer wasn't even showing on the pending transaction screen and it had been over a week since I put in the info. Well apparently none of my info had gone through and upon reading further into the transfer FAQ on Blizzards site I found that you can't transfer a toon within 20 minutes of logging out. So I logged out of WoW at 8 am this morning and waited 20 minutes I entered my Info and 40 minutes later recieved emails saying Drow was ready to play on Velen. So needless to say never doubt Blizzard they do their job well. As soon as I logged onto Drow at 9 am I got a whisper to run Shattered Halls. I told them I couldn't since my UI was all jacked up, but they said they really needed me and they would wait. So I fixed my UI sortof and got summoned to SH. We got through to the first room and then they asked if they could swap me out for a protection specced tank. I said sure and took my new leggings and walked. I was not upset I told them that if it got to hairy they could feel free to replace me. So I didn't get ot see even one boss but it was nice being needed as a tank for a little while. Coming this morning I think I might respecc to Protection and then get offers all the time.

Drow is moving
As we speak Drowurden my 70 Tauren Warrior is being moved to Velen to be a part of the Buttered Monkey's. Hopefully when I get home in the morning he will be ready to take Velen by storm. Now the Monkey's will have a dedicated tank and I can destroy everything in my path with Deadr close behind keeping me healthy. Soon the Monkey's will be taking on the End Game Raiding stuff or just trying to get some heroics, Since I will be the only 70 in the guild for the time being, Until Deadr dings 70. How have most of your realm transfers gone? Were they smooth moves or sucky. let me know.

DING DING DING
Ok so the biggest ding in a WoW players life happened to me on Sunday night. Thats right I finally dinged 70 it only took a year. So whats left ot do now that I am at 70 and haven't really tanked a whole lot. Well this afternoon I farmed some Thorium, Sunday after I dinged I helped some RL friends down the last boss in the Blood Furnace instance, that was the first time I had seen that instance and it was pretty cool. I like that the instances in Outland are so short compared to the old world ones, they are so mush easier. A few other things that you can do after you Ding 70 well you could grind Rep with all those factions you ignored before 70, if on a PvP server you could aimlessly gank lowbies till your hearts content, you could grind the Caasssshhhhh needed for a flying mount and epic Flying mount, you could run instances that you neglected before 70 and see what kind of sweet gear you could get. I have made it my presonal goal to get Herods Shoulders to drop from Scarlet Monastery since they look so awesome. You could get your professions up to 375, this includes fishing and cooking. Last and I am certain not least is getting you PvP gear. well good luck and have fun.

UBER 3
Well I did it the MXR is now fully functional in game. It was rather easy once I got the gist of it. I love this mouse it is comfortable and it has so many buttons that I can use. Lets compare to my old wired mouse. I have the MX518 on my desk top it has a scroll wheel, your typical left and right mouse button, and two buttons by your thumb labeled mouse 1 and 2, plus the scroll wheel clicks which gives it a button option labeled mouse 3. So lets count left, right, m1, m2, m3, and scroll wheel thats five buttons and the scroll wheel. Now the MXR has left, right, m1, m2, a scroll wheel by the thumb which has a forward click TSF, down clickTSD, and backward clickTSB, pluss the normal scroll wheel has side to side click NSL and NSR, and a search button. Lets count left, right, m1, m2, TSF, TSD, TSB, NSL, NSR, and the search button thats 10 button which are fully customizable with the UBER options program. That is double the amount of things I can now do with my mousebuttons rather than having to click things, its awesome. Well if you have any questions on the MXR let me know and i will do my best to answer them.

UBER 2
OK so remember yesterday when I said that hopefully my friend would put together a powerpoint presentation for me to figure out the UBER options. Well he didn't make a powerpoint but he did put together a WORD document with pictures and emailed it to me. So today I will be spending sometime getting all the bindings in order and I will officially post how the mouse works for the gaming.

UBER 1
So the UBER options is downloaded and I still can't get my keys binded. I am going to ask my friend to put together a Powerpoint slide show for me so I can figure this thing out. I doubt he will do it but he might have some pointers for me. I had a hard time finding the actual program since the website that it was originally from was down luckily someone posted the exact download location in a forum I found through google. So as of right now the MXR is just a normal mouse not an UBER gaming mouse excuse the pun.

Logitech MX Revolution Update
So I tried to bind the extra keys on my mouse to certain functions in game that I am used to since on my desktop I use a Logitech MX518. Well the program that comes with the MXR as it will be referred to from now on does not let you do this. So I asked my buddy who uses the same mouse how he got his keys binded and he told me I needed to download a program called UBER Options which replaces the logitech program. So once I have that all figured out I will update more on the form and function on the WoW side of this mouse. So for now you will have to just wait on ym review.

Tuesday, October 9, 2007
Well here it is the New mouse I have for my upcoming year in Korea. This mouse is awesome now if only I could figure out how to bind the keys in WoW. Here is the best part about me getting this mouse. The retail price of this mouse is 99.99usd, I had originally planned on purchasing this mouse online where it can be found for under 90usd. Well I got impatient and decided to go down to my local Circuit City(CC) and Bestbuy(BB) and see if one was cheaper than the other. So I go to CC first and they have a sign by the display model that says there is a mail in rebate for 20 dollars so after the rebate the mouse is 79.99usd. So I am pumped online pricing at my fingertips, small problem there are no mice available in the immediate vicinity, I find the nearest store Rep and he notifies me they have moved them all to the endcap. I find the display and notice no rebate sign, Dilemma falls upon me, do I get it anyway or bite the bullet and order online. I take the plunge and grab the mouse to purchase. I make my way to the cashier and inform her of the sign I saw for the rebate, she asks me if I could get the sign for her so I kindly oblige. When I return she takes the sign from me rips it up and tells me well your the last person that will get that discount and she promptly price matches the mouse for the rebate and voila instant rebate. You gotta love people that miss the small details that cost them money. Anyway I would like to publicly thank the lovely CC cashier that handled the situation and saved me 20 bucks. I will post more on the mouse when I figure out how to bind the keys.

Long Time No Post
Well here I am posting to my blog which hasn't happened in a long time. I never left WoW as per my last post. Due to gracious gift giving I was kept in play for two months and am now back on track. My main Drowurden a Tauren Warrior is at 69 and a half, my main alt Andolynn is a 33 Blood Elf Hunter and is slowly progressing. I respecced Drow to full protection and don't really like it since my Instance running is very limited I will be going back to Arms pretty soon. I had a major issue with Andolynn today, I logged on and my fave pet Fang otherwise known as Humar the Pridelord was not in my stable and I was pissed, I immediately opened a ticket and the GM's got things fixed. Now you might be thinking whats the big deal just go and train him again. Well there in lies the problem, Humar is a rare cat and is on a very long respawn timer, a guildy of mine spent several days camping his known area before finally getting him, also he is level 25 or so and I have him now at 32 that is quite a few levels to have to regain. Also I dropped jewelcrafting and picked up engineering so far the easist crafting profession to level. Well thats all for now.

Well Bye Bye WoW :(
Well my time with WoW has come to an end for now. Some RL issues are taking presidence to the addiction that we all love. This could not come at a worse time as I am quickyl making my way to 70 with my main. Currently I am about 30% from 64 and sitting on almost 300G and replacing my gear daily like its underwear. I just recieved some awesome shoulders from the main lady in the Cenarion Expedition in Zangarmarsh and a sweet Helm from one of the other people by that moonwell looking thing. I have till the 22nd of this month to play before I am locked out hopefully I can buy a gamecard every now and again and get some serious play time in. How many of you out there have quit WoW and then come back after a long time, or even just took a longer than usual break? Do you have any thoughts on things to do to pass the time since I will have plenty of it? Well keep on playing and hope to one day see all of you somewhere in the World, of Warcraft.

HIATUS!
Well it has been awhile since I posted. I had a mandatory class I had to attend to become a Leader. The class is called Airmen Leadership School and it was six weeks long and was alot of fun. I met alot of really great people and didn't play much WoW. According to the Air Force though I am now a supervisor and able to have Airmen under my wing. Over the course of the six weeks I learned that in order to be a good Leader you have to first be a good Follower, also that in alot of cases in order to get your subordinates to follow you have to establish a report with them so that they will feel comfortable enough to talk to you and open up. All in all the class was a good experience and I enjoyed my time away from my normal duties but am also glad to be back to them I am in no way an intellectual and this course put alot of mental work on me as compared to physical, So by the time I was getting used to it, it was over. Well thats all for now see you guys soon with a little WoW News.

Lack in Play
Well I haven't really played all that much since I got back from California but somethings have changed. The Buttered Monkeys a guild I joined with a group of bloggers and readers is up and moving realms. We will mostly be re-rolling but who knows some people may transfer toons. It looks as if we will be remaining Horde which is fine but I might roll and Ally on the server for the hell of it. Well thats all for now when I have more I will write some more.

Argent Dawn
So today I found out why people hate grinding Argent Dawn(AD) Rep. The rewards are awesome, but to get those rewards you have to travel alot and find alot of items. From what I understand pre-The Burning Crusade(TBC) the AD was the only way to get an 18-slot bag. But with TBC tailors can now craft 18-slot Imbued Netherweave Bags and 20-slot Primal Mooncloth Bags, so is it really worth the grind I looked at the other rewards and none of them seemed to be all that good. Maybe my thoughts are skewed, so to you readers. Is the AD grind really worth it are there other rewards that you can get that are really good?

Happy Easter!!
Well I know I am late but Happy Easter to everyone. Tell me how was your easter? I spent my easter weekend doing alot of driving. Me and my wife drove to California to attend an impromptu birthday/easter party. Her father was turning 50 so we drove to Bakersfield, California to visit. It is a long drive to her parents from our house so needless to say the drive alone wore me out. We came home monday morning at 12:20 just in time for me to get ready for work and to post a few things on the AH. The party for her dad was nice just a small family and friend get together, You know how those go good company, better food. The food was so good my dog decided to stand under the grill where they were slicing the Lamb and licked the drippings up and in the process got herself covered in them. So I removed her collar and threw her in the pool, she was not a happy camper but she wasn't covered in grease. Come to find out her ears still reek of lamb juice, She has big hairy floppy ears and anything she drinks generally gets all over them which isn't a problem normally since she generally just drinks water. Well the party was fun the 500+ mile drive home afterwards was not. But we got home safe and the time spent with the Fam was nice.

Character Deletion
So have any of you ever tried to talk someone out of deleting a character? Odd story I had just logged onto my main Drow when I get a whisper from a guy I had grouped with along time ago back when Drow was in his 20's. So we are chatting and he is talking about deleting his character since his friends call him a noob all the time because he can't level very fast. So I tell him to just have fun and not worry about his friends and just play the game to play. But this guy is serious talking like he is about to commit suicide so I put all my superior Military training in recognizing the warning signs into action and try to keep him talking about his character and where he should be leveling at. Oh he is a 32 Warlock by the way. So he is still talking nonsense when he asks me to help him with some quests. So like a good guy I put the Argent Dawn rep grinding on hold and tell him to meet me in Hammerfall so I can help him quest. Well a little while goes by and he shows up we are chatting when WoW stops recognizing my typing, he is just running into a pole and then bam my internet goes down and I get disconnected. So the World Of Warcraft might be down a member today because my internet sucks. So answer me this have any of you ever tried to talk someone out of committing Virtual Suicide? It was really odd I felt like I was running a suicide hotline over the Internet.

Now for a little WoW time!
So yesterday I took my Tauren Warrior Drowurden to 56, A little disappointed with the new abilities I recieved or should I say the upgraded abilities I have recieved. I can't remember the last time I got a new skill short of respeccing into Arms for Mortal Strike. But something I realized was that Warriors really come into thier own after Level 55. I used to not be able to handle more than one Mob without using my Retaliation, now I can handle at least three if I pop a Healing Potion at the right time. So needless to say the Experience (XP) is coming rather quickly and I should be in Outland before long. Also I dinged 25 with my Blood Elf Mage Astranon I killed a ton of quillboars in the Barrens and turned in some quests. Most of the quillboars didn't even give XP but they were needed for the quests. Today I will do a few more quests and hopefully have some greens drop for either Disenchanting or for a little extra mula at the Auction House.

Girls Night Out or In?
Today my wife told me that next friday she is having some of her girlfriends over for a girls night of movies. She then preceded to tell me that I could stay and hang out if I wanted. Now tell me this does any male out there actually want to hangout with his wife and three of her friends watching movies? Now granted I know two of these girls and they are cool but I'm not sure if I really want to hangout and just listen to them gab about girl stuff. I love my wife but sometimes more than one girl on a couch can be a little much. So my wife asks me what are you gonna do then and I told her I was either gonna go watch a movie (Grindhouse is out) or stay in the corner on my computer and play WoW. She said I couldn't do that cause she doesn't want people to know I play WoW. I knew she hated that game but jeez she wants to hide the fact that I am a nerd from the entire world.
